Eight Easy Ways to Celebrate World Conservation Day
This past Tuesday was World Conservation Day, and if it slipped past you, you're in good company. It's one of those quiet holidays that doesn't come with fireworks or a three-day weekend, just a nudge to think about the air, water, and soil we all share.
The nice part is that honoring it doesn't take much. A handful of small habits do most of the work: shorter showers, carpooling when you can, shutting off lights on your way out the door, going paperless where it's easy. None of it is glamorous, and that's kind of the point.
If you'd rather learn than do, that counts too. Reading up on conservationists like Jane Goodall or Rachel Carson, or watching a nature documentary, both count as a way to celebrate. So does simply teaching a kid in your life why all of this matters.
The holiday may have come and gone, but the habits don't expire on July 29th. Pick one from the list and let it stick around.

Cities Are Reopening Their Rivers for Swimming
Picture this: jumping into the river that runs right through the middle of a major city. That's becoming real in places around the world, proof that even a river that cities spent decades polluting can be cleaned up and swum in again.
Take the Seine, the river that winds through the heart of Paris. For most of her life, a Paris student named Pauline Janbon assumed it was off limits, since it had a longtime reputation for being far too dirty to go anywhere near.
Then this summer, during a record-breaking heat wave, that changed. Janbon waded in anyway, right alongside thousands of other Parisians looking to cool off. Years of quiet cleanup work on the Seine had finally paid off, and the river the city grew up avoiding became the place everyone wanted to be.
Paris isn't alone in this. Copenhagen, Basel, and Zurich have spent years upgrading their sewage systems so residents can swim right in the middle of their own cities. In Zurich, a longtime local named Danny Wehrmueller said it best: growing up, no one dared get in the Rhine, the river that flows through the city. Now, he said, we never think twice about the pollution.
Cities from Chicago to London are working toward that same feeling. It's a good reminder that a river doesn't have to stay dirty forever, and that cleaning one up is very possible with some dedication and motivation.

A body moisturizer built by longevity scientists
Starting in your 30s, skin's collagen production drops roughly 1 to 1.5% a year, and the decline isn't confined to your face. Skin is your largest organ, and the visible signs of cellular aging — crepey texture, loss of firmness — show up across your arms, chest, and legs, and are only accelerated by external stress and UV exposure. Yet 97% of your skin, everything below the neck, goes untouched by most skin longevity routines.
OS-01 BODY moisturizer goes beyond hydration. Powered by the OS-01 Peptide™ and built on over a decade of longevity science, it works where aging begins — addressing a leading driver of visible skin aging, so skin looks and feels healthier with regular use. In a double-blind 12-week clinical study, 70% of participants showed visibly smoother skin, alongside +41% barrier resilience and +38% hydration. The kind of results that make people call it a holy grail product — and mean it.
