How Discarded Tents Became Tote Bags
After a weekend festival, the music stops, but the waste often lingers. In the UK, it’s estimated that over 250,000 tents are left behind each year. Most head straight to the landfill.
Lauren Mason saw it firsthand while helping clean up a festival. Shocked by the sheer volume of abandoned tents, she filmed a short TikTok. It went viral and sparked an idea. What if those tents didn’t have to go to waste?
She co-founded her own small upcycling business that transforms broken or discarded tents into tote bags, bottle holders, and one-of-a-kind gear. With help from friends, family, and volunteers, they’ve already saved hundreds of tents from the dump.
Each item they make is unique, practical, and sewn with purpose. It's a small shift with long-lasting impact: less trash, more reuse, and a different way of thinking about what we leave behind.

Sunset of the Day in Rome
Elisabeth sent this glowing view from Villa Pamphili, Rome’s largest urban park. The evening light filters through umbrella pines, casting long shadows and lighting up the sky in soft golds and oranges. It's where she walks her dogs and teaches Nordic walking. This location is a calm, familiar place made even more special at sunset.
Thank you to Elisabeth for sharing this with us. It’s truly beautiful. If you’ve captured a sunset that made you stop and breathe a little deeper, we’d love to see it too!

Co-Ownership: A Trending Real Estate Opportunity
Keep This Stock Ticker on Your Watchlist
They’re a private company, but Pacaso just reserved the Nasdaq ticker “$PCSO.”
No surprise the same firms that backed Uber, eBay, and Venmo already invested in Pacaso. What is unique is Pacaso is giving the same opportunity to everyday investors. And 10,000+ people have already joined them.
Created a former Zillow exec who sold his first venture for $120M, Pacaso brings co-ownership to the $1.3T vacation home industry.
They’ve generated $1B+ worth of luxury home transactions across 2,000+ owners. That’s good for more than $110M in gross profit since inception, including 41% YoY growth last year alone.
And you can join them today for just $2.90/share. But don’t wait too long. Invest in Pacaso before the opportunity ends September 18.

Meet the Pikas You’ve Never Seen Before
If you’ve never heard of a pika, you’re not alone. These fluffy, high-altitude mammals look like a mix between a rabbit and a teddy bear, and scientists just confirmed two new species living in the Himalayas.
It took more than two decades of research to make the discovery. Pikas may be small, but they play a big role: helping spread plant seeds, providing food for other animals, and even signaling the effects of climate change.
Not every species is doing well, though. The Ili pika is endangered. But thanks to decades of grassroots conservation, a protected sanctuary now gives it a better shot at survival.
Protecting nature doesn’t always mean doing everything perfectly. Sometimes, it’s as simple as staying curious, supporting local conservation efforts, or learning more about the unsung creatures that keep our ecosystems going.
