People Near Oceans Are Living Longer
If youâve ever felt calmer by the ocean, youâre not imagining it, and a new study says it might even help you live longer. Researchers at The Ohio State University found that people who live within 30 miles of the coast tend to live about a year longer than the national average.
The research team looked at data from over 66,000 U.S. communities and found a strong link between coastal living and longevity. Milder temperatures, better air quality, and more chances to move your body outside may all play a part.
The effect didnât hold for people living near inland lakes or rivers, especially in cities. This might be due to pollution, heat, or less access to nature.
Not everyone can move to the ocean, and thatâs okay. Even short walks near water, a beach day, or opening a window to let fresh air in can offer small benefits.

Sunset of the Day
Alicia shared this beautiful marina view, where the sky turned every shade of pink and gold. The boats rest quietly in the harbor, their reflections catching the last color of the day. Itâs one of those evenings that feels unhurried, like the world is winding down just right.
Thanks to Alicia for sending this in. If youâve captured a sunset that made you stop and breathe a little deeper, weâd love to see it too!

Keep This Stock Ticker on Your Watchlist
Theyâre a private company, but Pacaso just reserved the Nasdaq ticker â$PCSO.â
No surprise the same firms that backed Uber, eBay, and Venmo already invested in Pacaso. What is unique is Pacaso is giving the same opportunity to everyday investors. And 10,000+ people have already joined them.
Created a former Zillow exec who sold his first venture for $120M, Pacaso brings co-ownership to the $1.3T vacation home industry.
Theyâve generated $1B+ worth of luxury home transactions across 2,000+ owners. Thatâs good for more than $110M in gross profit since inception, including 41% YoY growth last year alone.
And you can join them today for just $2.90/share. But donât wait too long. Invest in Pacaso before the opportunity ends September 18.

What To Do With Old Tupperware
That cabinet full of plastic lids and mystery containers? Youâre not alone. Tupperware doesnât last forever, and older versions may not be safe for storing food, especially if they were made before BPA was phased out around 2010.
But instead of tossing them, try repurposing. Cracked or stained containers can hold art supplies, bathroom items, or even become planters with a few drainage holes. Some people get creative and turn them into compost bins, drawer organizers, or even gift wrap.
Still want to get rid of them? Check for a recycling symbol underneath. Many are made from #4 or #5 plastic, which can be tricky to recycle curbside. Drop-off centers may be a better fit.
And if your containers are clean, odor-free, and still in good shape, a local thrift store or neighbor might give them a second life. Just skip donating anything with cracks or wear inside.
